H appy, relaxed and wonderful are the words that I would use to describe this brilliant wedding near Geneva. A was waiting for me to start the afternoon’s photography at a hotel with gardens that stretch down to the lakeside and we spent a few minutes taking photos of her and her family by Lake Geneva. She looked amazing in her very stylish dress, with beautiful flowers in her hair and carrying a wedding bouquet that not only looked, but also smelt, divine (designed by Arôme). I joined a relaxed and happy T and his family on their way to the celebrations.
WONDERFUL CIVIL WEDDING – GENEVA
A&T chose to have their civil ceremony in a beautiful old townhall near Geneva with their closest family and friends and it was a delight ! There were two very special readings – one a Bob Marley text which was brilliant (I have copied it at the end of this post) and another very heartfelt reading from the Maire, not a dry eye afterwards. After the ceremony a gentle stroll through the village took us back to their sunlit garden and delicious celebratory wedding cocktail. Early evening I left them all laughing and enjoying the sunshine and the happiness of the occasion – a perfect afternoon.
Thank you both so much for asking me to photograph this fabulous afternoon.
“He’s not perfect. You aren’t either, and the two of you will never be perfect.
But if he can make you laugh at least once, causes you to think twice, and if he admits to being human and making mistakes, hold onto him and give him the most you can.
He isn’t going to quote poetry, he’s not thinking about you every moment, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you could break.
Don’t hurt him, don’t change him, and don’t expect for more than he can give. Don’t analyze.
Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he’s not there. Love hard when there is love to be had.
Because perfect guys don’t exist, but there’s always one guy that is perfect for you.”
